Advercado Content Guidelines Policy
Advercado is a community-driven advertising marketplace. To protect vendors, customers, and the wider public, all content uploaded, submitted, or requested through our platform must meet our Content Guidelines. These rules are designed to keep our marketplace safe, legal, fair, and in line with UK advertising standards.
1. General Principles
All content shared via Advercado must be:
- Legal – compliant with UK law, ASA regulations, and intellectual property rights.
- Respectful – free from offensive, discriminatory, or harmful material.
- Professional – suitable for public advertising and reflective of Advercado’s values.
- Safe – content must not mislead, exploit, or endanger individuals or communities.
2. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly forbidden on Advercado:
- Illegal Content
- Copyright-infringing, counterfeit, or stolen material.
- Advertisements that breach UK consumer law or regulatory standards.
- Harmful or Offensive Content
- Pornographic or sexually explicit material.
- Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content.
- Violence, self-harm, or encouragement of criminal activity.
- Misleading or False Advertising
- Claims that cannot be substantiated.
- Products or services that are fraudulent, unsafe, or banned.
- Conflict of Interest Content

- Content that undermines a vendor’s professional reputation or ethics.
3. Restricted Content (Requires Careful Review)
Some types of content may be allowed but are subject to stricter review, including:
- Alcohol, gambling, CBD or other regulated industries.
- Political or advocacy content (must remain factual and not incite hatred).
- Health or wellness claims (must be evidence-based and compliant with advertising codes).
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Accuracy – customers must ensure all information provided for advertising is truthful and lawful.
- Ownership – customers must hold the rights or permissions to use all submitted content.
- Compliance – customers are responsible for ensuring content aligns with UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) guidelines.
- Refunds – submitting prohibited content may forfeit a customer’s right to a refund. Vendors are under no obligation to work with content that breaches these guidelines.
5. Vendor Rights
- Vendors may refuse any order that violates this policy.
- Vendors must not deliver or publish advertising content that breaches UK law or Advercado’s standards.
- Vendors retain ownership of their work unless full or partial payment is agreed upon in disputes.
6. Enforcement & Consequences
Violating the Content Guidelines may result in:
- Order cancellation without refund.
- Account restrictions or suspension.
- Removal of non-compliant content from the platform.
- Permanent ban from Advercado for repeated or severe breaches.
7. Reporting Content Violations
Both vendors and customers can report violations by:
- Using the Resolution Centre for disputes.
- Contacting support@advercado.co.uk with evidence of inappropriate or illegal content.
Advercado will investigate all reports and take appropriate action to protect our community.
