Create Variable Products
Creating products on Advercado is easy. After you have registered, you can easily create products and customize them from your intuitive vendor dashboard.
We don’t restrict how you create and sell your products. It’s your business, your spaces and services, you sell them your way.
Product Page
Your vendor dashboard provides you with access to the product page. You can create and manage all of your products here. You can see the status of your products, their SKU numbers, and whether they are in stock, as well as the current price, all in one place.
TIP: If you have several similar products, you can save time by duplicating, editing, and renaming a previously created product.
Creating a Variable Product
A variable product is one that offers a range of variations. For instance, you might sell business cards which have a range of options and prices. As a result, you’ll be able to add multiple pricing points and features using this option.
To create a variable product, navigate to:
- Vendor Dashboard
- Products
- Click the Add New Products button from the top right corner.
Description

What is the name of the product you’re selling? This is the name that will appear in search results, so make it descriptive and interesting.
Product Type
There are 3 product types –
- Simple
- Variable
- Group product
Variable product – A variable product is a type of product that allows you to sell a single item with multiple variations. Each variation can have its own pricing, stock, and pictures, and you can manage them in a variety of ways. Flyer printing in multiple sizes and finishes, would be another example of a variable product.
Category
We split categories between advertising spaces and advertising services. Be sure that your variable product is in the right category or your customers could miss it.
Images
Upload a cover image of your variable product. This is the image that will appear in the search results for your listing. Use the plus sign (+) to add more images to your listing. Remember that your listing’s photos are the first thing that customers will see, so include high-quality images that will help sell your product.
Short Description
Add a concise description that will appear on the top of your product page.

Here you can provide more information about your variable product, your company, and what you offer. Provide as much detail as possible about your products and services so that customers know exactly what they’re getting.

Now let’s set the product’s location.
- By default, this is set to same as store.

- An accurate location is important to ensure your customers can find your spaces and services easily on Advercado. Use the map to pinpoint the exact location of your product.
Listing Specifics
Attributes & Variations
We use attributes to help customers filter through products in the product search. Attributes are characteristics and features of your products. Variations are the characteristics of your product that your customers can select.
For example, if you are listing a service package, you would choose the service package’s attribute.
- Open the attribute drop-down list
- Select the applicable attribute (s) for your product from the list and click add attribute
- In the value field, select the values that apply to your product
- Check the Used for variations box for attributes with variations
- Once you have added all your attributes, click Save attribute
NOTE: You can use more than one set of attributes if required. You must save attributes for the variation list to populate.
Variations
You can now set up your variations.
At the top of the list, you can select actions from the drop-down menu. Choose the action and press ‘GO’ to apply the action. You can use this drop-down menu to change all or individual variations including, adding more variations, changing prices and availability and setting shipping dimensions in bulk.
If you wish to change a single attribute, use the box in the top right to choose the attribute you want to edit. As a standard, we set this to no default, which implies it will change across all variations. When you choose a variation from the list, the modifications will apply to that variation only.
Using the triangle icon to expand each variation allows you to manage and assign values to each variant.

Variation Description
If you wish to highlight differences in your variations, provide a variation description. When offering various packages, this is important because the differences between them may not be obvious to your customers.

Multiple Attributes and Variations
If you are using multiple attributes and variations, use the ‘Create variations for all attributes‘ selection from the drop-down menu and press ‘Go‘, to quickly create all variations. There is a maximum of 250 variations per run, if you need more just run ‘Create variations for all attributes’ again, and it will add the next set of variations.
This will create all of your variations, allowing you to expand each one and add details.
Reordering Variations
To reorder your variations you simply use the three-bar icon next to the triangle icon to drag and drop in your desired order. If you have variations across multiple pages you can double click the three bars to enter a numeric position for the variable. The variations will default to a sequential order on your product page once you have created your product.
Once you have finished ‘Save Variations’.
NOTE: If you change the attributes, you must select ‘Delete all variations’ from the drop-down menu and then hit ‘Go.’ This will remove all the variations from your list. When the list is clear, press ‘Save attribute,’ and your new variations will appear.

What is SKU?
SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit. It should be a unique set of characters that will not match any other product. Advercado will automatically assign a unique stock number to your product. If you want to create your own SKU unit characters, enter them in the SKU field.

If you enable stock management and enter 10 in the stock quantity field after 10 units are ordered, this product will show a message that all the quantities are sold, and there is none in stock.
