Setting up your store
Once you have signed up as a Vendor and sent your verification documents over you can start setting up your store. If you haven’t verified your Vendor account, please do that first before you start working through this guide.
NOTE: There are several how-to videos found on our YouTube channel that will help guide you through the processes to get your store set up.

What is a store?
Your online store is your space on Advercado. Your store is where all your customers can learn more about you and your products. From the store, a customer can view a vendor’s products, contact information, store location, and more.
You can visit and view your store page by going to:
- Vendor Dashboard
- Visit Your Store
Setting up your store
Now that you are verified let’s create your store. From your vendor dashboard:
- Select Settings
- Click store
Store Settings
At the top of the page, you will find your profile progress. A completed profile will ensure you get the most out of your experience as a vendor on Advercado. So let’s get started and get you to 100%.
Store Banner
First things first: your store banner. This will help you to stand out from other vendors and build your identity. A good visual interactive image will grab the attention of your customers, so be creative.
Then you can enter your details and set up your page. This includes your contact information, address, phone number, email address, biography and store location map.
Store Location (MAP)
Enter your business address in the search box above the map. If you would like a more specific location, move the pointer into the perfect location.
Whether you work locally or supply nationally, we encourage all vendors to set a business location to help facilitate work between small businesses and local vendors. This is what Advercado is about.
Opening Times
Let your customers know your business hours here.
For each day of the week, select from the drop-down Open or Close. If Open, select the duration from the numeric fields.
You can also write a Store Open and Store Closed Notice for your customers.
Click on Update Settings to save your store times.
NOTE: It is important to set up your opening times before you start to add your products. If creating bookable products these settings will reflect in your booking availability. For example, if your business is closed on a Sunday you will not be able to book customers on this day.
Biography
Tell your customers about you and your business. Who are you? What do you sell? What service do you provide and what is your USP? This is another opportunity to build your brand and convert potential customers into paying customers.
Support & Facebook Messenger
These are your options for communicating with your customers. Your customers can use the support button to send you messages and create tickets. For instant chat features, we highly recommend adding the Facebook chat widget into your store. The Facebook chat widget allows you to communicate in real time with your customers. You can also recieve documents and attachments via the Facebook widget.
Other Store Settings
You can continue setting up your store by using the tabs in settings, which include:
Payment
Set up and link up your payment methods so your sales flow straight into your account. We employ industry-leading payment processing providers, Stripe.
Verification
We verify all vendors of the site to ensure high standards and the safety of customers using the marketplace.
Shipping Settings
This page contains your store-wide shipping settings, cost, shipping and refund policy.
You can enable/disable shipping for your products. You can override shipping costs while creating or editing a product.
Social Profiles
By uploading your social profiles, potential customers can browse your work and learn more about your products. Consider adding your social profile links, such as Facebook or LinkedIn, for better user interaction. You can link every social networking site with your store from this page.
Store SEO
Your SEO is your Store Engine Optimization. It can help to increase your store traffic and therefore increase business. You can set your SEO title, meta description, meta keywords, Facebook title, description, image, Twitter title, description and image.
